Incidence of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI)—commonly known as "concussion"—is on the rise. Clients with mTBI are most likely to seek treatment for auditory and communication disorders, with symptoms affecting balance, cognition, processing, and memory. Though audiologists and speech-language pathologists have distinct roles to play in evaluation and management, a collaborative team approach is necessary to fully assemble the complex puzzle of mTBI.

Here's what participants have said about
the online audiology conference...

"The best thing about the conference was
the convenience of being able to get on at
any time during a set time frame. I'm a
stay-at-home mom who wants to keep up
my license so it's difficult for me to get
away to conferences. This was a nice way
to stay in the loop."

"I actually felt like I was at a conference—I
was given daily information, and was able
to 'converse' with other professionals. I
also appreciated the e-mails informing me
of requirements, lectures, etc."

"Please do this again! Because of the
format, and the quality of presenters, I've
learned more from these six hours than I
have from presentations in a long time.
Thanks again for putting this together."
